You would like to know what amounts of proteins, carbohydrates or fats you should optimally consume in your diet? Or how much magnesium or vitamin C is good for you? Fddb can help you get a feel for what amounts of macro- and micronutrients are appropriate for you. There are so-called reference values for certain types of nutrients that are recommended for different groups of people. For example, pregnant women or older people have different needs for certain nutrients.
In the Fddb app, you can have your intake of macro- and micronutrients determined automatically. The app will refer to the reference values for nutrient intake of the German Nutrition Society (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Ernährung - DGE) and your profile data (age, gender, height and weight). The premium membership is required for this.
To do so, go to "Nutrient planner" in the menu and then click on the calculator symbol in the upper right corner. Based on your personal data and the recommendations of the DGE, the app calculates your recommended personal daily doses.
Please note:
For some macronutrients (saturated fatty acids, sugar, fiber and cholesterol) and the mineral sulfur the German Nutrition Society and thus also the Fddb app do not provide any basic recommendations, as very individual values apply to these values. This is why the values for the target daily dose for these nutrients in the app are set to 0 by default. As a premium user, you can define the values yourself.
Please also note that the German Nutrition Society will adjust its recommendations over time and that the calculations in the Fddb app may be based on outdated data. In this regard, please also note our notes on health topics.
