If you notice that the calories, nutritional values, or other information for a product entry or food item are incorrect or incomplete, you can correct or add to the relevant information. To do so, proceed as follows:
- If you are using the iOS or Android app, please go to the product detail page for the relevant food item and tap “Correct product data” in the “More options” window. In the next step, choose which information you want to update or add to: “Barcode”, “Product name”, “Producer” or “Nutrition facts”. Finally, save all changes to submit your information.
- If you are using our website, click on the “Correct data” link on the relevant product detail page. Then fill out the form with the correct information and click on “Submit message” at the end.
A member of our team will check your corrections and, if necessary, update them.
Please note:
For some products with the producer “Natural product” or “Average value”, you won’t find “Correct product data” in the app. If you notice an error in one of these products, please send a message to our support team at support@fddb.info.
Correcting portion sizes
You can’t edit portion sizes via “Correct product data”. In the app, you can only add new portion sizes to a product. Existing portion sizes can’t be changed or deleted there.
If an existing portion size is incorrect, please use “Correct product data” as a workaround to let us know the correct portion size (“Product name” > free text field “Addition”). Alternatively, send a message to our support team at support@fddb.info. Please include the exact product (as a link or screenshot) and the new values for the portion size in question. Our editorial team will check your information and correct the portion size if necessary.
