As long as the connection is active, you can disconnect it directly in the Fddb app. Google Health Connect is only available in the Android app — not in the Fddb app from the Huawei AppGallery.
How to disconnect:
- Open the Fddb app and go to ‘Account’ in the bottom right menu.
- Tap on ‘Trackers & Apps’.
- Tap on ‘Disconnect’ in the ‘Health Connect’ section.
What happens when you disconnect?
- The data imported from Google Health Connect (steps, activities and body metrics) is removed from your diary and your diet report.
- The permissions you granted Fddb in Google Health Connect remain in place when you disconnect. You can revoke them directly in the Google Health Connect app. If you reconnect later, Health Connect will only ask for the permissions again if you have revoked them there in the meantime.
- Data that Fddb previously transferred to Google Health Connect (for example nutrients or your body weight) remains stored there. It is your own diary data — Fddb does not delete it automatically. If you want to remove it, you can do so directly in the Google Health Connect app.
Alternative: revoke the permissions in Google Health Connect
You can also revoke Fddb's access from the other side: open the Google Health Connect app and remove the permissions for Fddb there. The Fddb app will then show you that no permissions are granted anymore and will no longer transfer any data. Once you have revoked all permissions, the card in the Fddb app shows the ‘Change permissions’ button instead of ‘Disconnect’.
