You can import data recorded with Huawei Health, such as steps and activities, into the Fddb app for Android devices.
This is a feature of Fddb Premium and can only be used with an Fddb Premium membership.
In addition to the Fddb app version 7.5.0 or later, you need at least Android version 8 (Android 8.0 (API 26)) and the latest version of the Huawei Health app to establish a successful connection. Unfortunately, you can currently only install it from the Huawei AppGallery, as Google Play has not yet approved it.
- First, install the Huawei Health app, version 11.0.1.512 or higher, directly from the Huawei AppGallery.
- Check to make sure the HMS Core app is up to date, at least version 5.0.4.300. If necessary, update it directly from the Huawei AppGallery.
- Log in to the Huawei Health app with your Huawei ID. If you don’t have a Huawei ID yet, you can create one for free through Huawei’s services.
- Then open the Fddb app. You may need to restart it completely.
- Huawei Health should now appear as an option under “Account > Trackers & Apps.”
- Connect Fddb to Huawei Health and grant all permissions.
Note: You can check your settings for data privacy at any time and update them if necessary. To learn how to do this, see our article "How can I change the data privacy settings of Huawei Health?"
If you still have difficulties creating the connection between Huawei Health and Fddb, our tips and hints in the article "Pairing with Huawei Health does not work, what can I do?" hopefully help.
Please note:
Before your data can be correctly displayed in the Fddb app, always first synchronize your Huawei tracker with the Huawei Health app. Only so the Fddb app can get the latest data from Huawei. After syncing, go to the Fddb app and your diary. When the diary is loaded, the data from Huawei Health should be visible.
