1. Your data

Fddb collects and uses your data for service provision. If you terminate your membership or if you do not use the service for a longer period all your personal data will be deleted.

The Privacy Policy is part of these terms and conditions.

2. Membership

Membership of Fddb is free of charge. When you register you are obliged to provide Fddb with your correct e-mail address. In order to use the service you must be at least 16 years of age.

As a Fddb member you may use the services of the website Fddb. There may be restrictions on the Fddb service in order to carry out maintenance and development. Your Food Diary is stored for 90 days. The Food Diary of premium members is stored for 2 years.

Termination of your membership

You have the right to terminate your membership at any time. Fddb has the right to terminate your membership at any time.

Your diet

Fddb can send you e-mails that refer to your eating habits. This includes warnings when your weight is too low.

Talk to a doctor or dietician before making any changes to your dietary habits. If you want to eat consciously due to illness, check with your doctor or dietician to see if using Fddb makes sense in your case. Please take notice of our note on health topics.

3. Adding content

As a Fddb member you may add content to Fddb. For example this content can be: New products, recipes, ratings, lists of products, forum postings, profile information and photos.

Forbidden content

You may not add the following content to Fddb:

a) insulting content;

b) misinformation;

c) content that violates the law;

d) content that violates the copyright of third parties.

e) Details about your health status or diseases. This is very sensitive information that you should not publish on the internet.

Terms of use

a) By adding content to Fddb you grant Fddb the non-exclusive right to use that content as far as necessary for providing the services of Fddb and connected add-on services (e.g. smartphone apps).

b) You can revoke the aforementioned rights anytime by deleting the respective content from Fddb.

c) Fddb is not obliged to pay you any fees for the concession of these terms of use.

d) You must guarantee that you have all the rights to the content submitted and that you are entitled to transfer these rights to Fddb. You are solely responsible for your added content and the consequences of posting or publishing them.

e) Fddb reserves the right to refuse the publication of your content.

f) If you act in opposition to these terms of use you absolve Fddb of any damages that may arise, including any legally applicable legal costs. If a third party should make a claim to Fddb with regard to the submission of your content (in particular in terms of any violation of personal, copyright, brand or performance rights) you are obliged to repay Fddb for all damages incurred by Fddb through your own blameworthy breach of duty.
