Google is discontinuing Google Fit soon. As soon as that happens, the Fddb app will automatically disconnect an existing Google Fit connection and no new data will be transferred from Google Fit to Fddb. The app will then inform you with a notice.
Here's what you can do:
- Switch to Health Connect — the successor to Google Fit on Android. To do so, connect Fddb with Health Connect in the ‘Account’ section under ‘Tracker & Apps’. You don't have to wait until the Google Fit connection ends — you can switch at any time.
- Make sure that your tracker apps (e.g. MiFit, Polar or Strava) write their data to Health Connect so that Fddb can import it from there.
Please note: If you connect Fddb with more than one app, burnt calories may be counted twice. It's therefore best to disconnect the Google Fit connection yourself as soon as you have switched to Health Connect.
