Google is discontinuing the current Fitbit interface as of September 30, 2026. If you have an active pairing with Fitbit in the Fddb app or on the Fddb website, no data will be transferred from Fitbit to Fddb after this date. The Fddb app will then automatically disconnect an existing Fitbit connection — on Android and iOS. On the Fddb website, the Fitbit import will be discontinued without replacement; there is no alternative there, so please use the mobile apps going forward. Fitbit is now called Google Health.
Notes for users of the Fddb website:
- If you’d like to continue importing your Fitbit data to Fddb, please download the Fddb app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android), as the connection will be managed exclusively via smartphone in the future. The tracker integration in the app is part of the Fddb Premium membership.
Notes for users of the Fddb iOS app:
- Connect Google Health to Apple Health.
- Pair Fddb with Apple Health in the "More" tab under “Tracker & Apps.”
- Please note: After the switch, the data no longer comes directly from Fitbit but from Apple Health — Fddb shows what the Google Health app transfers there. If a value is missing in Apple Health or arrives late, Fddb cannot show it. Therefore, compare the values with the Apple Health app, not with the Google Health app.
Notes for users of the Fddb Android app:
- Pair Google Health with Health Connect.
- Connect Fddb to Health Connect in the "Account" section under “Tracker & Apps.” This applies to the Fddb app from the Google Play Store; Health Connect is not available in the app from the Huawei AppGallery.
- Please note: After the switch, the data no longer comes directly from Fitbit but from Health Connect — and only what the Google Health app actually writes there ends up in it. Activities entered by hand in Google Health sometimes don't arrive there at all or arrive late, and the calories of a workout can differ slightly from what the Google Health app displays. Fddb takes over the values your tracker apps wrote to Health Connect — you can look them up there in the Health Connect app. Data entered by hand directly in the Health Connect app is not imported.
